Take a Video Tour of 2775 View Drive

In this video, I take you through 2775 View Drive and give you a closer look at the property, its layout, and the mountain setting.

One of the reasons I enjoy creating these video tours is that photos can only tell part of the story. Walking through a property gives buyers a much better sense of how the home flows, how the rooms connect, and what it might actually feel like to live there.

Why Buyers Are Drawn to Running Springs

Running Springs sits in the San Bernardino Mountains and offers a lifestyle that’s difficult to duplicate down the hill.

For some buyers, the goal is to make the mountains their permanent home. Others are searching for a weekend getaway, second home, or a place where they can escape the congestion and faster pace of Southern California.

Running Springs is also well positioned for enjoying the surrounding mountain communities and recreation areas. Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear, Snow Valley and other mountain destinations are accessible from the area, giving residents plenty of opportunities to enjoy hiking, skiing, snowboarding and other outdoor activities.

But buying a mountain home is different from buying a home in many Southern California communities.

Buying a Mountain Home? Look Beyond the House

The house itself is obviously important, but when I work with buyers in Running Springs and the surrounding San Bernardino Mountain communities, I encourage them to look at the entire picture.

Mountain buyers should consider issues such as homeowners insurance and wildfire exposure, winter access, snow removal, road conditions, heating systems, trees and defensible space, drainage, roofs, decks, retaining walls, property access and ongoing maintenance.

These factors don’t necessarily make owning a mountain home difficult. They simply mean buyers should understand what they’re purchasing before making a decision.

That’s especially important for buyers coming from Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire or other areas where some of these considerations may not be part of a typical home purchase.

Is Running Springs Right for You?

Running Springs can be an excellent option for buyers who want mountain living while remaining connected to Southern California.

The right property, however, depends heavily on how you plan to use it.

A full-time resident may have different priorities than someone purchasing a second home. One buyer may want easy highway access, while another may prioritize views, privacy, a larger lot or proximity to outdoor recreation.

That’s why I recommend looking at more than bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage when comparing mountain homes.

The goal should be to find a property that fits how you actually plan to live in the mountains.

Thinking About Buying a Home in Running Springs?

I’m Jason Roque, Broker/Owner of Hamilton Homes Real Estate, and I specialize in helping buyers and sellers throughout the San Bernardino Mountain communities, including Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, Arrowbear, Twin Peaks and Big Bear.

I also have a background as a general contractor, which gives me another perspective when walking properties with clients. While a professional home inspection remains an important part of the buying process, construction experience can be particularly valuable when evaluating mountain properties where decks, drainage, roofs, retaining walls, weather exposure and deferred maintenance can play a significant role.

If you’re considering buying a primary residence, second home or mountain getaway, I’d be happy to help you understand the local market and find the right property.
